01Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how IT Works Group, LLC ("IT Works Group," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about visitors to itworks.nyc (the "Site"). It does not describe how we handle data inside the IT environments we manage on behalf of clients — that's governed by your separate service agreement with us.

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

02What we collect

Information you give us

When you fill out a contact form, request a 30-minute review, or send us an email, we collect the information you provide. That typically includes:

  • Your name and work email address
  • Your company name and approximate company size
  • Your phone number (if you choose to share it)
  • What you've told us about your situation, what you're looking for, and any context you've added in the message field

If you book a meeting through our scheduling link, our scheduling provider (Microsoft Bookings) also collects the information needed to confirm the meeting — typically name, email, and time selection.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and our analytics service automatically receive standard technical information sent by your browser. That includes:

  • Your IP address
  • Browser type and version, operating system, device type
  • The page you visited, when, and how long you stayed
  • The page that referred you, if any

03How we use it

We use the information described above only for the following purposes:

  • To respond to you. If you contacted us, we use your information to reply, schedule a meeting, and follow up on the conversation.
  • To operate and improve the Site. Aggregate analytics help us understand which pages are useful and which aren't, and to fix broken things.
  • To keep the Site secure. Server logs help us detect and respond to abuse, fraud, or attacks against the Site.
  • To comply with the law. When we're legally required to retain or disclose information, we will.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information to send marketing communications unless you've explicitly subscribed to a list — and we don't currently run a marketing list.

04Who we share it with

We share information only with the limited set of service providers we need to run the Site and respond to you. Each of them is contractually bound to use the information only for the purpose of providing their service to us.

  • Hosting provider — to serve the Site.
  • Microsoft Bookings — to schedule meetings when you use our calendar link.
  • Email provider — to receive and respond to contact-form messages.
  • Google Analytics 4 — to provide aggregate usage statistics. See Cookies & analytics below.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or in response to a valid government request, or if necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of IT Works Group, our clients, or others.

05Cookies & analytics

The Site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and to measure how the Site is being used. These fall into two categories:

  • Essential cookies required for the Site to function. These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics 4 (GA4). GA4 measures aggregate visitor traffic to help us understand which pages are useful. IP addresses are anonymized before being processed. The data is aggregated; we don't use it to identify you personally. Google's privacy policy applies to their processing: policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of GA tracking site-wide by installing Google's browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the Site may not work properly if you do.

06How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as we're required to keep it by law. Specifically:

  • Contact-form submissions: kept for up to two years for follow-up and reference, then deleted unless they become part of a client relationship governed by a separate agreement.
  • Server logs: typically retained for 30–90 days for security purposes.
  • Analytics data: retained in GA4 according to its default settings (14 months).

07Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding the information we hold about you:

  • The right to access the information we have about you.
  • The right to correct inaccurate information.
  • The right to delete your information, subject to legal obligations to retain it.
  • The right to object to or restrict how we use your information.
  • If you're in the EU or UK (under GDPR) or California (under CCPA/CPRA), additional rights including the right to data portability and the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — which, as noted above, we don't do.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.

08Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. That said, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure — and we won't pretend otherwise. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we'll notify you in accordance with applicable law.

09Children

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we've collected information from a child, we'll delete it.

10Updates to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we'll update the "Effective" date at the top of the page. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site for a reasonable period.
